El Celler del Tossal, as the name suggests, is an expression of our passion for wine and our love of great cooking based on quality ingredients, without over complicating things or making concessions to fashion.
We continue to respect the tradition of the Tossal, a well known restaurant that previously occupied the same location in the heart of the Barrio del Carmen. Our lunchtime menus are centered on the famous Valencian ‘Bomba’ Rice. Prepared either dry or creamy, the intense flavor of the rice comes from our homemade and traditionally prepared stocks.
If the first protagonist is rice, the second is hot charcoal. Our charcoal grill provides that special touch to our meat and the fish which arrives daily from auction in Valencia’s fishing port. With these tools we try to offer dishes based on fantastic raw materials and prepared with love, with a gentle nod to gastronomic modernity.
Wine is the third pillar of our house and just as important as the other two. We offer a flexible wine list, with many foreign references as well as a wide selection of wines from the Valencia region. Attentive to the latest developments, we try to not to forget the wineries that have made great Spanish wine without inflating prices based solely on brand; we always aim to surprise our customers who are restless and eager for new discoveries; all this at prices that would not be out of place in your local wine shop.
